A raw recipe, what exactly is that? Raw recipe, and raw food health are buzzwords beginning to appear in daily conversations. I assume everyone wishes to be healthy and look their best and that this does not just apply to women?
If I asked you to name three organs of your body I’m sure you could do it, but how many people would include the word skin which is also classed as an organ. Actually it’s classed as the largest organ of your body. It is the protective covering for everything else, and the condition of your skin is generally indicate of your overall well-being and general health.
Women especially spend thousands of their income on their skin, although skin products over the last 10 years are also beginning to become a factor in many men’s budgets.
In a world of fast and convenient food it is easy for your skin to lose its condition. However if you were to spend a little more money on raw food health, not only your skin, but your overall health would greatly benefit. It’s a similar concept to bin men becoming recycling engineers. Raw food health is simply a repackaging of the age old adage of eating fresh vegetables and fruit. And a raw recipe is simply a raw food recipe such as a recipe for a salad, or a desert, using natural ingredients which are uncooked.
Raw vegetables and fruit contain many beneficial ingredients from vitamins and amino acids to antioxidants and other chemicals which can fight certain cancers. These are present in the natural moisture of the fruit or vegetable, which cooking can destroy or greatly reduce.
Naturally your skin and your health benefit from eating raw food as any doctor will tell you, so here is a raw food recipe (which you can use in place of a fattening desert), which is both cheap and quick to make. Embracing raw food health is also beneficial to your wallet.
This raw recipe is called, ‘The Sundowner’.
The Sundowner
10 strawberries
2 bananas, peeled
1 mango, skinned and stoned
Everything goes into the food processor and is blended into a pudding. The pudding is then chilled in the fridge until ready for serving. When presented it is decorated with sliced strawberries and sliced banana in the centre of the dish. Of course you can do your own thing by adding any fruit you wish to make a tasty treat.
